Jewish Writing in Poland

Until the end of communism the trilingual--Polish, Yiddish, Hebrew--Jewish culture of Poland was little studied. This work is the first examination of Jewish literatures in Poland on such a scale from the point of view of both linguistic and geographical diversity. With the interwar years as the reference point, this volume also includes material covering pre-World War I and post-1945 periods. Distributed in the US by ISBS.
