James Hugh Gough
James Hugh Gough is a Canadian writer-illustrator based in Taipei, Taiwan. His second book, “On an Island On the Sea” follows an elderly man as he searches for the pals of his youth. It is a
beautifully illustrated poem that celebrates the wonders of life and friendship. It lauds the beauty of our journey on Earth, reminding us that there is magic and possibility around every
corner.
James Hugh Gough has worked as a manager, teacher as well as writer and art director during his sixteen years in Taiwan. Prior to that, he worked as an assistant art director on television
shows including, “Peter Benchley’s, Amazon” in Toronto, Canada. His first book, “The Great Skate,” was released last year. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from the University
of Guelph.
