漢字演變五百例續編 (英文)

In 1992，the book entitled Tracing the Roots of Chinese Characters:500 Cases，written and sketched by Professor Li Leyi，was published by the Press and in the following year it was trans-lated into the versions of English，French and German.Presenting not only a vivid edlineation of both graphs and words but also a method of making profound ideas into simple terms，the book tried every effort to make the characters research more visualized and popularized，hence，it received a warm welcome from the readers domestic and abroad.

As for this newly published book，Evolutionary Illustration of Chinese Characters，should be regarded as「a continuation」of the former，as it were，another「500 Cases」.Minded readers must have noticed that the「continuation」has made some changes com-paring to the former and it is unnecessary to mention them in de-tails here for the capacity limit.The author and the Press sincerely look forward to receiving any criticism and suggestions.
