　　1955年Harold and the Purple Crayon一書出版（中譯《阿羅有枝彩色筆》，上誼出版），作者克拉格特強森創造出阿羅這個角色後，從此激發了無數大小朋友的想像力起飛，他巧妙的運用孩童的邏輯語言，表現他們自由想像的過程，再加上節奏、氣氛都配合得天衣無縫的圖畫，阿羅系列圖畫書成為歷四十年不衰的經典作品。
