作者簡介

張戎（Jung Chang）

　　榮獲2006年「萬人傑新聞文化獎」殊榮

　　出生於四川宜賓，作家。十四歲時短暫地當過紅衛兵，後來做過農民、赤腳醫生、翻砂工和電工。一九七三年就讀於四川大學外文系，畢業後留校任助教。一九七八年留學英國，一九七九年入約克大學專攻語言學，一九八二年獲博士學位，是中共掌權以來第一位獲英國博士學位的大陸人。曾在倫敦大學亞非學院任教。一九九一年，張戎的首部巨著《鴻：三代中國女人的故事》出版，成為英國出版史上非小說類最暢銷的書籍，被讀者評選為二十世紀最受歡迎的經典著作之一，已譯成三十多種文字在全球發行，銷售量達一千兩百萬冊。另一部巨著《毛澤東：鮮為人知的故事》由張戎和夫君喬‧哈利戴共同完成，自二○○五年六月出版以來，在各國均登上暢銷書榜，被譽為「一部震撼世界的書」。
