This volume provides an overview of research conducted in the last ten years investigating mental health and disorders in lesbian, gay, and bisexual (LGB) youth and adults. Fourteen contributions describe the results of a variety of major studies some relying on population- based samples and others specifically targeted at sexual minority communities. Sample topics include social anxiety among LGB adolescents; sexual behavior and dysfunction in a community sample of lesbian and heterosexual women; and how Latino gay men experience homophobia, poverty, and racism.
