作者簡介
麥克安迪（Michael Ende）
是德國當代最重要的兒童文學作家，他於1929年出生於德國的巴伐利亞州，父親是著名的超寫實派畫家。麥克安迪於慕尼黑戲劇學院畢業後，從事了一段時間的演員、導演和電影評論的工作，之後全力投入文學創作，這份經驗使他後來創作的故事特別具有戲劇效果。
麥克安迪對於寫作非常認真執著，他的第一部作品《火車頭大旅行》甫推出即獲得「德國青少年文學獎」，1973年完成《默默》這部巨作，再度獲得「德國青少年文學獎」，《說不完的故事》還曾搬上大銀幕，拍成電影「大魔域」，風靡一時。作品曾被譯成四十多國語言，銷售量高達1000萬本以上。
他的文學全集分別於1981年、1982年獲得「烏努斯考爾查克獎」及「國際勞倫佐.依爾.馬尼茀科獎」。
