From Anatolia to Appalachia: A Turkish-American Dialogue

Most often found in the Southeastern Atlantic region of the U.S., the Melungeon people have a complex ancestry that apparently includes Caucasian, Native American, and Black forebears. This text focuses on the possible ancestral link between the Melungeons of Appalachia and the people of Turkey.
