The Winter People

Set in 1759, fourteen-year-old Saxso is one of the few men left to guard the village when British soldiers attack and then take his sisters and mother hostage, but despite being all alone, Saxso sets out to track and fight the raiders in order to bring his family members back safely. Reprint.
