When Abbie is arrested for malicious mischief, the judge gives her another chance by having her volunteer to work with the elderly--little does Abbie know that her new friend, Mrs. Merkel, is an amateur sleuth, onto 'something big' she says, but she is assaulted before she can reveal what it is, and it is up to Abbie to find out.
