Working on the Railroad 2007 Calendar

This new calendar title from Motorbooks celebrates the myriad aspects of working on the railroad over the last 50-plus years. From running a locomotive to dispatching, maintaining trackage, signaling, and fixing the motive power, nearly every human aspect of railroading is featured in a collection of six evocative black-and-white images from the middle of the century and six color photographs depicting modern functions. Detailed captions explain the work being carried out in the photographs and why those jobs are essential to the railroad’s operation.
