The Book of Bob

The satirical novel takes place in the fictional Free Nation where Bob, a middle-aged blank slate, is visited by God and ordered to take dictation for a new book. God then orders Bob to go into the world and be his P.R. person. A large cast of quirky characters includes Bob's followers, the devious chameleon Roland Brand, and the clueless Chosen Leader Delbert Thorne. The morality play laces serious cultural issues with alternately broad and subtle humor.
