The Gift

A 'Once upon a time' fictional tale, based on a modern true-life event, tells of a Miss USA finalist who sacrificed her gorgeous long hair to make a hairpiece for a young girl suffering from alopecia areata. Written in the genre of an Oscar Wilde short story, a child's tale written at a mature level, The Gift will inspire young readers, especially those with handicap issues. The protagonist faces difficult challenges and succeeds by drawing on values of piety, charity, and love--character traits that our children need to emulate.
