Ravished Armenia , also known as Auction of Souls , was first published in 1918, soon after Mardiganian's arrival in the US. It is one of the only first person accounts of the Armenian genocide
at the hands of the Ottoman Turks between 1915 and 1918. The book is reprinted here along with an introduction by film historian Slide who gives a brief rundown of events leading to the
