The Three Boys: And Other Buddhist Folktales from Tibet

Bhutan-born and Indian-educated, Dorjee now teaches as a Buddhist center in California. Here he retells 15 traditional stories that he either learned as a child or heard from expatriate Tibetan monks at university in India. He also illustrates then with line drawings. The stories are not religious instruction or stories about Buddhism, but folk tales within a Buddhist culture. Major is a retired historian of East Asia in the US.
