Nauvoo: Mormon City on the Mississippi River

After fleeing persecution in Missouri in 1839, a group of Mormons, lead by Joseph Smith, found safe haven in the city of Nauvoo, Illinois, until resentfulness and misconceptions drove them from their beautiful city on the river.
