2006 proved to be a record year in foreign investment in power projects, albeit in only a small number of countries. In the meantime, firms who write insurance against political upheavals and
terrorism for such projects have reasons to be nervous. The situation calls for serious study and new ideas. These proceedings from a November 2006 symposium held by MIGA (Multilateral
