Liberty on 23rd Street: Liberty on Twenty-third Street

In 1885, twelve-year-old Emma, a Jewish immigrant newly arrived in New York City, and Ambrose, a young African American boy, become true friends through many mishaps and adventures as they try to help the campaign to raise funds for the Statue of Liberty's pedestal.
