Test pilot Hal Jordan is chosen by the Guardians of the Universe to become Earth's Green Lantern, protecting his homeworld and the universe from threats both terrestrial and alien. Jordan faces villains including the renegade Green Lantern Sinestro, Major Disaster, Evil Star and Star Sapphire.
