Ever since he was small, John Robison had longed to connect with other people, but by the time he was a teenager, his odd habits-an inclination to blurt out non sequiturs, avoid eye contact, dismantle radios, and dig five-foot holes (and stick his younger brother in them)-had earned him the label "social deviant." 作者簡介

約翰．羅比森(John Elder Robisons)於1957年夏天出生於美國喬治亞州，父親是大學教授、母親是罹患躁鬱症的女詩人，弟弟則是日後成為著名廣告創意人、暢銷書作家的歐各思坦．柏洛斯。
