Promises of Change

In the peaceful hamlet of Covington, ongoing commitments to family, friends, and community are taking their toll. Zachary and his pregnant wife Sarina are forced to move in with his father Max. But Zachary's anger over his father's marriage to Hannah causes tension. After Sarina gives birth to a beautiful baby girl, Zachary packs a bag and disappears.

In the meantime, Grace has a health scare, which causes her to get serious about her diet; Lucy Banks' brother returns from Iraq, wounded in body and spirit; Amelia and Miriam attend a photography workshop in New Mexico where Miriam falls in love; and a wedding looms on the horizon as the ladies' surrogate family keeps expanding.
