In 1850 Philadelphia, when Charlotte Brooks, aspiring young singer attends a concert where she accidentally meets and hears the 'Swedish Nightingale' Jenny Lind sing, she is not only inspired, but also catches the first fleeting glimpse of the love of her life in the audience. But her dream of being a great singer is put on hold.
