SUPERANNO The Curtain Torn is inspired by the life of Robert Carter III of Nomini Hall Plantation. Inheriting a slave empire, he never felt comfortable owning other human beings. However, it was not until he almost died and claimed to have talked to Jesus that he freed his five hundred slaves. While his decision caused him much agony when his friends and family turned against him, he remained steadfast and freed more slaves than anyone in history. Original.
