Combating Trafficking in Persons: A Handbook for Parliamentarians

The UNODC and the Inter-Parliamentary Union teamed up to provide information to legislators about modern-day slavery as a crime against people as well as against the state, and to suggest how they can help develop and promote comprehensive frameworks for combating it. The topics include defining the crime in national legislation, criminalizing and penalizing all forms of it, preventing it, monitoring and reporting, and enhancing the role of civil society.
