Pee-wee Harris

In the seminal novel, the goofily oblivious (but always debonair) Pee-wee visits his uncle's farm, and follows through on his idea of opening a refreshment shack along the country road. Sales are slow until the highway bridge burns down and the country road becomes a thoroughfare, leading to a series of madcap adventures.
