The Texas Poetry Calendar 2011 features 89 poems, including a contribution by Cyrus Cassells, the internationally recognized poet who served as judge for this year's award-winning poems. This
edition of the calendar includes a wide range of gifted poets, from the newly published to established, award-winning writers--including Karla K. Morton, the 2010 Texas Poet Laureate, and Carol
Hamilton, a former Poet Laureate of Oklahoma. The calendar provides a double-page spread for each week of the year, as well as twelve monthly overview spreads and half-page views of 2011 and
2012. This year's cover displays a full-color photograph by Carol A. King, a nostalgic Texas landscape with an old, abandoned truck.
