This volume contains two books of short stories: Distant Wind and The Beginning of Pleasure. The first book talks about children who learn to survive in a hostile world, adolescents experiencing the first heat of love and the shame of being despised. The other book consists of five stories and a novel about the discovery of love and sexuality in the midst of corruption and hypocrisy.
