Originally published in 1961, this volume by Greenleaf (history, U. of New Hampshire) has its origins in extensive research in the Ford Motor Company History Project, which drew extensively
from research in the Ford Archives. It provides a detailed history of the patent suit between Henry Ford and George Baldwin Selden that was finally resolved on January 9th, 1911. In the process
it covers aspects of past automotive technology. The volume provides an extensive bibliography, including references to manuscript collections, public documents and legal records. A new
