From Scholars to Scholia: Chapters in the History of Ancient Greek Scholarship

Italian classicists at the Universities of Genoa and Pavia contribute to the rising interest in ancient Greek scholars with essays on Alexandrian Ekdosis and papyri, Hellenistic scholarship and the study of language, the Greek origins of the Romans and the Roman origins of Homer in the Homeric scholia and in POxy.3710, one of lesser studied grammars by Apollonius Dyscolus, and the making of Greek scholiastic corpora.
