Ashline and her wild-child sister, Eve, never appeared too remarkable, besides being Polynesian in a white suburban town. That is, until Eve kills a rival of Ashline�� over something completely petty. Shocked, Ashline moves across the country to a remote private school, hoping to put the terrible past behind her. But her fresh start doesn�� go as planned. After a series of dangerous and mysterious occurrences, Ashline is astonished to learn that she and four of her classmates are actually demigods who were compelled to meet at this middle-of-nowhere school.

Now that she knows she is a volcano goddess, Ashline has to decide what to do with the knowledge��nd whether to share it with Colt, the hunky park ranger she can�� stop thinking about. There are two very powerful organizations vying for control, and they have very different ideas on how the demigods should use their powers.
