This work examines the pedagogy, management, technology, and sustainability of interactive collaborative learning in the context of higher education and especially multidisciplinary education. The book is designed for teachers, managerial staff in higher education, and technologists developing e-learning software and environments for higher education. Although it is research focused, it can also be used as a text for teacher training or for courses in educational technologies and curriculum design. The book starts off with an overview of the role of computational science in natural sciences education, then describes an approach consisting of a multidisciplinary research environment; computational science research methods as a core part of the curriculum; and collaborative teaching facilitated by novel collaborative tools. The book goes on to describe the latest advances in technology for collaborative learning with Web 2.0 and mobile devices, then looks at the integration of technology, pedagogy, and management.
