Reflections: An Anthology of New Work by African Women Poets

This anthology showcases never-before-published poems by 69 African women poets representing 12 countries. Organization is by region--north Africa, central and east Africa, southern Africa, and west Africa--and within each region, by country. Some poems that were originally written in French are presented in both French and English. The three editors are affiliated as follows: Kalu (African American and African studies, Ohio State U.), Nfah-Abbenyi (English and comparative literature, North Carolina State U.), and Ajayi-Soyinka (theater & gender studies, U. of Kansas).
