Eliminating Empty Categories: A Radically Minimalist View on Their Ontology and Justification

If language really is a natural object, as claimed in mainstream biolinguistic currents, say Krivochen and Kosta (both Slavic linguistics, Potsdam U., Germany), then it should be studied in the context of other natural systems rather than in isolation. To this end, they introduce the new framework of radical minimalism, which is strongly based on mathematics and physics. Then they show some of the empirical consequences and its potential to account for multiple phenomena that have proven problematic in generative studies and other frameworks.
