A 3-volume edition of Scott’s Minstrelsy of the Scottish Border (1802-3) that presents nearly 100 poems and songs, many of them containing narratives of death, murder and abductions. It also shows the dynamic of Scott’s development from 1802 to 1812, between his earliest attempts at poetry and the appearance of his novels.
