This three-volume set collects papers previously published from the 1970s through the present, in journals such as Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of
Economic Dynamics, Journal of Econometrics, and Journal of Risk and Uncertainty. Volume 1 begins with material on international comparisons of household participation rates in various asset and
debt categories across countries and demographic groups. Part 2 examines portfolio models and the stock market participation puzzle, and Part 3 deals with portfolios of the rich. Part 4
examines asset allocation and asset location. The first part of Volume 2 looks into stock trading behavior and portfolio adjustments over the life cycle. Later parts in this volume cover risk
aversion, under-diversification, and behavioral finance research into financial literacy and cognition. The last part of Volume 2 presents emerging research on the relevance of social
interactions for household financial behavior. Volume 3 contains sections on financial advice, cultural impacts on financial behavior, and credit card behavior among US consumers. There is also
a section on issues that govern home ownership decisions and mortgage financing, in the context of the 2007-2009 housing crisis and ensuing financial crisis. Annotation ©2016 Ringgold, Inc.,
