Maggie Arrives

Maggie is a magnificent red fox who has a den somewhere in East London. When our intrepid fox first visits the garden at the back of a terraced house she decides to venture further, winding up inside the house. In the living room she comes upon the Black Cat and the Tabby Cat, the two feline residents, who give her a rather unwelcome reception. Undaunted, Maggie keeps returning to the garden and the house and each time she has to contend with the two cats. The Black Cat is always ready to chase after her but the Tabby Cat quite likes the idea of having the fox around, although he can’t bring himself to admit as much to his feline chum. Things begin to change when Maggie suggests that they all share the garden and after a bout of sickness turns the Black Cat and the Tabby Cat into her unlikely helpers. Maggie Arrives is a reading for children and adults alike, with beautiful illustrations that bring the lovely fox alive.
