2001: A Space Odyssey

　　二十世紀最偉大的科幻大師，與海萊恩、艾西莫夫並列本世紀三大科幻小說家。同時也是太空科 學研究顧問，為少數具專業科學家身分的科幻作家。一生獲獎無數，如坎伯獎（科幻新人獎）、三次雨果獎及三次星雲獎（皆為科幻文壇最高榮譽）。一九八六年因 其終身成就，榮獲星雲科幻大師獎。由於克拉克本身學術背景，作品飽含豐富的科學知識，風格屬於著重科學邏輯的「硬科幻」（Hard SF）。然而克拉克亦擅於文學性的描寫，筆端優美富哲理，因此讀來毫不生澀，在世界各地皆擁有廣大的讀者群。
