Monetary History Exchange Rates and Financial Markets: Essays in Honour of Charles Goodhart

Mizen (monetary economics, U. of Nottingham, UK) presents ten papers from a gathering honoring economist Charles Goodhart held in November of 2001 at the Bank of England (other papers from the same conference were presented in an earlier volume, Central Banking, Monetary Theory and Practice ). The contributions to this volume treat the topics of monetary history, crises, and exchange rates, each noting the impact of Goodhart on the topic and reviewing current theory.
