The Chase

After ignoring his betrothed for more than a decade, Lord Blake Sherwell has finally been coerced by the English king into claiming his bride, the hoydenish Seonaid Dunbar. He reluctantly arrives at her father's Scottish keep only to discover his intended is equally averse to the match and has fled to a convent. Scotland in 1395 is no place for a woman alone, so he grimly sets out to retrieve his errant wife to be, and the rollicking adventure begins. This matched set of warriors: Seonaid has trained since infancy with her father and brother and indeed has her own specially wrought sword entertains her father's men as well as Sherwell's entourage with their antics, for now Sherwell's interest has been piqued, and he takes up the chase in earnest.
