The new library in Stuttgart (southern Germany), the first public building in the newly planned ��uropaviertel��quarter, is beginning to take shape. The cube, designed by the Korean architect Eun Young Yi, is a striking urban landmark: a precise cube with an almost archaic shape made up of several repetitive cubic patterns. The new library will be an inspirational house for learning and culture, creating a focal point and stimulating element in the new quarter. Around 1.2 million visitors a year are expected. The exceptional architecture and innovative library concept have already gained international recognition.
