In the 1970s, the recognition that law and justice are pervasive themes in literature led to the development of the field of law and literature in the US; the field caught hold in Europe a
couple decades later. This book is a collaboration between Nordic researchers affiliated with the Nordic Network for Law Literature between 2005 and 2009. Nine contributions written by a mix of
lawyers and comparative literature academics offer analyses of a selection of texts including Steen Steensen Blicher’s ＂the Pastor of Vejibye,＂ Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House, and Trygve
