Applied Drama and Theatre As an Interdisciplinary Field in the Context of HIV/AIDS in Africa

This book results from research conducted in connection with The Drama for Life Programme at the U. of Witwatersrand School of Arts, South Africa, the aim of which is to promote education about HIV/AIDS and enhance community understanding and responsibility. Sixteen contributions discuss the context of this activity as well as innovations in research approaches, HIV/AIDS awareness education, and in the practice and theory of using storytelling, drama, and play interventions and therapy.
